JACKSON NORTHEN is a composer, filmmaker, and designer based in Greensboro, United States. His music is both highly experimental and yet deeply traditional. Ever so unpredictable, he manages to create a unique sound for each project, yet every piece carries it’s creators markings.

Making his final debut in early 2023, after almost 10 years of experimentation, Northen released his EP No Longer, Not Yet. The EP was an amalgamation of experimental noise, analog beauty, acoustic neutrality, and something not quite tangible. The so-called “Liminal-Space Experience” took listeners on an exploration of liminality and the feeling of existing in-between moments.

Around the same time, Northen founded fivehundred-and-six, a production house and artist collective with Reece Pearman, Tahj McQueen and Uche Nnani. Specializing in short films and advertising, the production house has been praised for it’s dreamy and other-worldly qualities.

Overall, Jackson has continued to prove himself as an artistic innovator and creative powerhouse. His unique style and forward thinking headspace will continue to push boundaries for years to come.
